Erdogan says to discuss grain transportation with Putin, Zelensky
MOSCOW/ANKARA, Jun 14 (PRIME) -- Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on June 12 that he plans to discuss grain deliveries from the Black Sea during phone negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky.
"We plan to discuss this (grain) issue with Mr. Putin and Mr. Zelensky," Erdogan said.
Reuters reported citing Ukraine's Deputy Foreign Minister Dmitry Senik that Ukraine had created two routes of grain exports, across Poland and Romania, to prevent a global food crisis. The official added that the routes are far from ideal, because there are bottlenecks, but they might be improved in future. Besides, Ukraine is in negotiations with the Baltic states to add a third corridor for exports.
